I have a confession to make. For the past few years, I have enjoyed watching the popular comedy TV show Modern Family. This show is smartly written, well-acted and wickedly funny. It’s the wicked part that has always nagged me a bit, but I kept on watching the show.

Two of the main characters on the show, Cam and Mitchell, are homosexuals who refer to each other as “boyfriend”. They live together and have adopted a daughter together.

The show tries to portray their situation as just another family. However, they also try to get laughs from the idea that two men live together instead of a man and a woman. Which is it, normal or hilariously outlandish? It can’t be both ways.

Anyway, last night I walked away from the show…forever. The episode celebrated the fact that homosexual “marriage” is being approved in many places. There were hints that Cam and Mitchell would become engaged. I couldn’t keep watching.

Have we lost our collective mind in America? Has the United States gone nuts? Is it too late to turn this hand basket around?
