Lesson in Respect

On Monday, June 3, 2013, a group of about 100 high school seniors boarded a Trans Air flight from New York to Atlanta. The pilot and crew asked the kids several times to sit down and put away their cell phones. When many of them refused to comply, the whole group was ordered to disembark.

What’s going on here? Was this group of teens so addicted to their electronic devices that they couldn’t shut them down for just a little while? Or had they never been taught to respect authority? Either way, some of them were given a quick lesson about real life. I hope they learned their lesson.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”—Proverbs 22:6.
