In his book, The Winning Attitude, John Maxwell tells the following story.
Two cows were grazing in a pasture when they saw a milk truck pass by. On the side of the truck were the words, “Pasteurized, homogenized, standardized, Vitamin A added.”
One cow sighed and said to the other, “Makes you feel kind of inadequate, doesn’t it?”
Sometimes people in the church feel inadequate, especially in comparison to what others can do. But Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12 that each part of the body of Christ is important. God has arranged the parts just the way he wants them (v.18). So, let’s stop comparing ourselves with others and go about doing what we were created to do.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”—1 Corinthians 12:27.
