Clara Null had just finished teaching a lesson on Christian behavior, and she wanted to see if the children had been paying attention. So she asked, “Now, Billy, tell me what we must do before we can expect to be forgiven for our sins.”
Without hesitation, Billy replied, “First we gotta sin!”
We don’t have to sin. But we do. Thankfully, there is a solution for that problem—Jesus.
“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”—1 John 2:1-2.
