It was just a few days before Christmas, and a Sunday School teacher was valiantly trying to teach a lesson on prayer to her excited young students.

“Ask and you shall receive”, she quoted. “Do you know who said that?”

One young person replied, “Santa Claus?”

I think the answer she was looking for was “Jesus”.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”—Matthew 7:7-8.
