I recently saw an article that talked about the importance of knowing your blood type. This would indeed be a helpful fact to know in case of a medical emergency where you might need to receive blood or where you might be able to give blood to someone who was in need.

It is also important for us to know the type of blood that Jesus had. He had the only type of blood that could possibly pay the price for the sins of mankind—the precious blood of the perfect Lamb of God!

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”—1 Peter 1:18-19.
