In Another Life

Cross-FSA woman who believed in reincarnation was trying to sway her husband over to her point of view, but he was more than a bit skeptical. He exclaimed, “You mean to tell me that I might come back in the next life as a worm!?”

“No,” she answered. “I don’t think you can be the same thing twice!”

The truth is, you don’t get to be anything twice. We have one chance in this world to live our lives to please God. There aren’t any do-overs. Hebrews 9:27-28 says, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

As someone once said: “Just one life, t’will soon be past. Just what’s done for Christ will last.”
